A Food Marketing Agency for Brands That Sell Direct

We are a food marketing agency for snack, pantry, coffee, specialty food and non-alcoholic drink brands that sell online. We build bundles, subscriptions and offers that work with the real cost of shipping food. Then we turn first-time tasters into customers who reorder.

How people buy food and drink online

Most shoppers already buy food at the grocery store, so buying online needs a reason. Common reasons include products they cannot find locally, a better price per unit in bulk, a gift or the convenience of a delivery that just shows up.

Taste is the barrier. People are slow to pay shipping for something they have never tried. Sampler packs, variety boxes, creator taste tests and strong reviews do much of the selling. Once a customer likes a product, the goal is to make reordering effortless.

Offers built around shipping costs

Shipping can eat the margin on a single bag of coffee or a box of snacks. We design offers that raise the order size so shipping makes sense. Bundles, multi-packs, variety boxes and free shipping thresholds set just above your average order all help.

Perishable and frozen products add cold packs, insulated boxes and faster shipping. We plan offers by shipping zone and day of week, so orders do not sit in a warehouse over a weekend. For products people use up on a schedule, our subscription ecommerce work turns one-time buyers into regular deliveries.

What our food digital marketing agency handles

Each part of the plan supports trial, repeat orders or both.

  • Food photography and video – Appetizing product shots, recipe content and short videos for your store, ads and social.
  • Recipe and use content – Recipes, pairing ideas and how-to posts that give people new reasons to use and reorder your products.
  • Sampling and trial offers – Sampler packs, first-order bundles and creator taste tests that lower the risk of trying something new.
  • Reorder programs – Reminders timed to how fast each product runs out, plus easy one-click reorder links.
  • Gifting campaigns – Gift boxes, corporate orders and holiday ship-by dates planned well ahead.

Labels, claims and allergen rules

Food marketing has to match the label. The FDA defines nutrient content claims such as "low fat" or "high in protein," and products must meet those definitions to use them. Health claims about disease are tightly limited. We write copy that stays within what your label and your regulatory adviser allow.

The FDA recognizes nine major food allergens, including sesame. Your product pages should list allergens as clearly as your packaging does. Products sold to California shoppers may also need Proposition 65 warnings online as well as on the package.

Alcoholic drinks have their own shipping and advertising rules. If you sell wine, see our wine ecommerce marketing page.

Seasons and gifting peaks

Food and drink sales follow the calendar. Holiday gifting is the largest peak for many brands, and ship-by dates matter more than usual because late food gifts may spoil. Grilling season, back-to-school, New Year health goals and big sports weekends each suit different products.

We build a yearly calendar that ties promotions to production, inventory and shipping capacity. Limited flavors and seasonal releases run through our product launch process, with waitlists and early access for your best customers.

Working with a beverage marketing agency or food team

We work with both food and non-alcoholic beverage brands, including coffee, tea, functional drinks and mixers. You get a clear price in your free proposal, after we look at your goals. Ad spend is billed separately.

We will not promise a set cost per order. Shipping costs, margins and taste preferences vary too much. We will show you what each offer and channel earns after shipping. See all our ecommerce marketing services.

FAQ

Food Marketing Agency: questions

  • It plans and runs the content, ads, email and offers that sell food online. For direct-to-consumer brands, that includes bundles, subscriptions and shipping-aware pricing. The aim is profitable repeat orders, not one-time trials.

  • Raise the order size with bundles, multi-packs and free shipping thresholds. Use regional shipping where possible and plan perishable shipping days carefully. We test thresholds against your margins before rolling them out.

  • They work well for coffee, snacks, pantry staples and drinks people use on a regular schedule. They work less well for occasional treats or gifts. We look at your reorder patterns before recommending one.

  • Yes, through our marketplace team. Many food brands use Amazon for discovery and their own store for bundles, subscriptions and customer data. We plan pricing so the two channels do not undercut each other.

  • Ad spend, samples and shipping for creator seeding are separate. We agree on scope in writing.
