What our ecommerce product photography includes
Shoppers cannot pick up your product, so the images do the work of the shelf. Most product pages need a mix of shot types. We plan that mix per product, so you do not pay for images you will never use.
- White-background packshots – Front, back, side and angle shots on pure white, ready for Shopify, Amazon and Google Shopping.
- Lifestyle and in-use images – Your product in a real setting, with or without models, to show scale and how it is used.
- Detail and texture shots – Close-ups of stitching, materials, ingredients, labels and finishes that answer common buyer questions.
- Flat lay and ghost mannequin – Clean apparel images that show shape and fit without a model on every item.
- Short product videos – Short clips for product pages, Reels, TikTok and ad catalogs, shot in vertical and square formats.
- Retouching and export – Color correction, dust and background cleanup, cropping, and exports in the sizes each channel needs.
How our ecommerce product photography service works
Step 1: We review your product pages, competitors and sales channels, then write a shot list per SKU. You approve it before anything is booked.
Step 3: We shoot to a written style guide, so lighting, angles and crops match across the catalog and across future shoots. Step 4: We retouch, export and deliver files named by SKU, ready to upload. Step 5: We return your products or hold them for the next session.
You provide clean, final samples, any brand guidelines and notes on what customers ask about most. Your support inbox and product reviews are often the best guide to which details need a photo.
Image rules for marketplaces, Shopping ads and social
Each channel has its own image rules. Amazon requires the main image to show the product on a pure white background, filling about 85 percent of the frame. Text, logos and props that are not part of the product are not allowed in that main image.
Google Merchant Center disapproves images with promotional text, watermarks or borders. Meta catalogs and Pinterest favor square or vertical images that read well on a phone. Your own store needs one consistent crop and background, or collection grids look messy.
We shoot with these rules in mind, so one session covers every channel. If your images get disapproved in a feed, our product feed management team can fix the image links and related attributes.
Product photography cost and what changes it
Product photography cost depends on how many products you have, how many angles each one needs and how much styling is involved. A simple white-background set costs far less per image than a styled scene with models and a location.
You get a clear price in your free proposal, after we look at your goals. Video is priced per finished clip.
Other things that move the price: product size, reflective or clear surfaces such as glass and jewelry, exact color matching for apparel, and rush delivery. We send a fixed quote per shot list before we start, so the number does not change halfway through.
Turning one shoot into months of store content
Good images are also the raw material for ecommerce content marketing. We plan each shoot so the same session feeds your product pages, email campaigns, social posts and buying guides. That cuts the number of separate shoots you need each year.
We can add how-to clips, size comparisons and step-by-step sequences where the product allows it. Pair the images with clear copy from a product description writer, and the page answers most questions before a shopper has to ask.
For new collections, we can shoot ahead of time so your product launch emails and ads have assets ready on day one. This work is part of our wider ecommerce marketing services.
Choosing a product photography agency
A product photography agency should understand how images affect sales, not only how they look. See our Kay Properties case study.
A solo photographer may cost less for a small one-time job. A product photography company like ours adds a shot-list process, one style across hundreds of SKUs and files ready for every channel. We will not promise a set conversion lift from new images. We can help you test new images against old ones on your highest-traffic pages.

FAQ
Product Photography Service: questions
It depends on the number of products, the shot types and the amount of styling. Simple white-background images cost the least per image, while lifestyle shoots with models cost more.
For most items, yes. You ship samples to our studio and we return them after the shoot.
It depends on the size of the shot list and how much styling and retouching is needed. We agree on a delivery date in the quote before the shoot is booked. Rush delivery is available for an added fee.
You get usage rights for your store, marketplaces, ads and social once the invoice is paid. Model releases cover the uses we agree on in writing. If you plan to use images on retail packaging or in print, tell us up front so we can include it.
Usually, yes. Send us your current images and we will match lighting, angles, crop and background. Matching is easier when we can see the original files and any style guide your team uses.
