Our logo design service gives your business a custom mark with primary, secondary and icon versions in every file format you need. We start from what your company does and who buys from it, not from a library of stock shapes. You approve each step. Once the project is paid, the final files and rights are yours.

What a business logo has to do

A logo is not your whole brand. It is the shorthand people use to recognize you on a sign, an invoice, a phone screen or a shirt. Good business logo design works at the size of a browser tab icon and at the size of a building sign.

It also has to print in one color, sit on light and dark backgrounds, and stay readable when stitched onto a polo. Fine lines and tiny text often fail those tests.

Professional logo design is mostly problem solving. Before we sketch, we look at your competitors, your customers and the places your logo will appear most. A food truck and a software company need very different marks.

Files and versions you receive

Every logo project ends with a complete, organized file package.

  • Discovery call and brief – We learn your business, audience, competitors and the places your logo will live.
  • Logo suite – A primary logo, horizontal and stacked versions, an icon or monogram, and one-color versions.
  • Print and web files – Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG and PDF) for printers and sign shops, plus PNG and JPG files for web and social.
  • Usage sheet – Colors with HEX, RGB and CMYK values, the fonts used, clear space and minimum size rules.

How your logo designer works with you

Step 1: You fill out a short brief, and we hold a call. We ask what you want people to feel, which competitors you want to stand apart from and where the logo will show up most.

Step 2: Your logo designer researches your category and sketches widely. Most ideas get cut here. We present the strongest concepts in context, not floating on a white page.

Step 3: You pick a direction, and we refine it. We test it at small sizes, in black and white, and on your own photos, vehicles or packaging.

Step 4: We build the final suite and file package. You get a shared folder and a short walkthrough of which file to send to a printer, embroiderer or web developer.

Logo design cost and what changes it

You get a clear price in your free proposal, after we look at your goals.

The main things that move logo design cost are the number of concepts, revision rounds, a custom-drawn wordmark versus an adapted typeface, and how many versions you need. A restaurant that needs a logo for signs, menus, cups and delivery apps needs more versions than a consultant who mostly uses it on a website and slides.

Contest sites and logo generators cost less. The trade-off is that their marks can be built from stock elements that other businesses also use. That can make the logo hard to protect as a trademark later.

Choosing a logo design company or a freelancer

A solo logo designer can be a fine choice for a simple project with a clear brief. A logo design company like ours adds strategy, a second set of eyes on every concept and help with the rest of your brand.

Ask any provider who owns the files, how many concepts you get and whether they use stock or AI-generated elements. The US Copyright Office has said that material generated by AI without human authorship is not protected by copyright. Our designers create every mark themselves.

We can spot obvious conflicts with existing logos, but trademark clearance is legal work. Your attorney should search before you file with the USPTO. If you need colors, type and imagery built around the mark, see our brand identity design service. For everything else we do, see our branding agency services.

FAQ

Logo Design Service: questions

  • It depends on how many concepts and versions you need and how much research goes in first. We send a written quote after the first call, so you know the price before any work starts.

  • Most of the calendar time goes to feedback rounds. A project moves faster when one decision-maker gives consolidated notes. We share a schedule with review dates at the start.

  • Yes, once the project is paid. Our contract includes a written transfer of copyright in the final logo. Concepts you did not choose are not included unless we agree otherwise.

  • Yes. Sometimes a refresh of type, spacing and color keeps the recognition you have built while fixing what does not work. If the change needs to go further, our rebranding (/branding-agency/rebranding/) service plans the full switch.

  • Your business name, a short description of what you sell, logos you like and dislike, and a list of where the logo will be used. If you have an existing logo, send the original files rather than a screenshot.
