Church Web Design That Welcomes First-Time Visitors

Our church web design work helps a first-time visitor feel ready to walk through your doors on Sunday. Before anyone visits a church, they usually look it up online. They want to know when services are, where to park, what to expect and whether there is something for their kids.

Plan your visit: the page that matters most

For a newcomer, the most useful page is a clear "Plan your visit" page. It covers service times, address and parking, what a service is like, how long it lasts, what people wear and where kids go. Photos of the entrance and children's check-in area help people feel prepared.

We put service times and location on the home page as well, and make them easy to find on a phone. Many churches also add a short form so a greeter can meet a new family at the door. If you hold services in more than one language, each one gets its own times and details, written in that language.

Sermons, livestreams and media

Members use the site to catch up on missed sermons and share them with friends. We build sermon archives you can filter by series, speaker, book of the Bible and date. Each sermon can include video, audio, notes and discussion questions for small groups.

If you livestream on YouTube or Facebook, we embed the live feed on a watch page and archive past streams automatically where the platform allows. Church website development can also link to your podcast feed on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

Giving, events and ministries

A good church website design brings your weekly activity into one place. Giving pages stay simple: one clear button, fund choices and a short note on how gifts are used.

  • Online giving – Clear giving pages that connect to tools like Tithe.ly, Pushpay or Planning Center Giving, with recurring gifts and fund options.
  • Event calendar – Events and registrations that sync from your church management system so staff only enter them once.
  • Ministry pages – Kids, students, adults, groups, outreach and care pages, each with a contact person.
  • Small groups – A searchable group finder by day, location and type.
  • Staff and beliefs – Staff bios, your statement of faith and your church's story.

Easy for volunteers to update

Many churches rely on one staff member or a volunteer to keep the site current. We build simple editing tools and connect your church management software, such as Planning Center, so events, groups and sermons update with less manual work. We train staff and volunteers at launch and leave a short guide.

We usually build on WordPress or, for smaller churches, Squarespace or Wix. Every site follows WCAG AA guidelines so members with low vision or hearing loss can use it too.

Church website design services and pricing

Cost depends on the number of ministries and campuses, sermon archive setup, integrations and how much content we write. A single-campus church costs less than a multi-site church with campus pages and separate service times. You get a clear price in your free proposal, after we look at your goals.

Your church website designer works directly with your pastor or communications lead. We will not promise attendance numbers, but we will make it easier for people to find you and plan a visit. See our main web design services.
